With a grinding capacity of 270 to 680 g flour per minute , this mill is always used when a lot of flour needs to be available quickly.
The hopper of the grain mill is made of full, solid beech wood and is only treated with organic beeswax oil on the outside .
The grain mill housing, which is exposed to the engine heat, is glued in a complex process from thin layers of beech wood. This gives it its round shape and resistance to the high temperature fluctuations to which this housing is exposed when the device is ground and then cooled down.
All internal wood parts are intentionally spared from any varnish substances and solvents so that the wood retains its natural ability to breathe and absorb. The case is only protected on the outside with organic beeswax .
Adjustment of the degree of fineness using a stainless steel thread
The coarse and fine adjustment is made by turning the funnel using a stainless steel thread. The flour fineness can be set with millimetre precision. This is retained throughout the grinding process.
This avoids the need to correct the flour fineness.
Grinding with natural granite stones:
Since the dawn of time, people have ground grain with natural stones. Granite is proven to be durable, hard and self-sharpening. We consciously demonstrate this with the guarantee we give.
Granite is pure nature – without any binding agent .
Foreign bodies, such as small stones, which could be in your grain, are easily ground up by the granite stones. We are not aware of stone particles breaking out and getting into your flour.
Granite grindstones can thus protect your teeth.
The Grinding Chamber
Two components give the grain mill its strength and durability:
- the thread
- and the grinding chamber r located in it.
1. The stainless steel thread (at the same time outer stainless steel chamber)
For decades, a steel thread was used to adjust the flour fineness. This high-quality and robust adjustment system became known for its precise grinding stone guide and is still highly valued by technicians and mill connoisseurs today.
A special feature of this design is the dissipation of engine heat: Steel is known to be an excellent heat conductor and prevents heat build-up.
Today we are one step further and use stainless steel.
2. The inner wooden grinding chamber:
As a logical consequence, the inner grinding chamber is made of wood, and the stainless steel flour outlet is carefully clad with wood on the inside. The wooden inner chamber ensures that the flour retains its valuable ingredients. All inner wooden parts are spared from any paint substances and solvents. Apart from the grinding stone and the stone holder, the freshly ground flour only comes into contact with hard, untreated beech wood. For decades, beech wood has proven to be best for this heavily used part of the mill.
In contrast to most plastics, wood is known to have an antistatic and antibacterial effect.
